Are the retreats vetted?
FindMyOm curates the best retreats, teacher trainings and courses across Australia. We aim at handpicking a broad range of unique and differentiated offerings. All of the published listings have been reviewed and approved by our team who are also retreat and courses goers. We also receive reviews from participants who help us to know the standard of the offering and who is in full integrity.

How do I cancel?
First step is always to reach out to the facilitator and let them know. You may be able to adjust your dates without cancelling. If you are within the refund period of your retreats cancellation policy (check this on the listing page) and need to cancel reach out to the host of your retreat to discuss cancellations. When confirmed the retreat host will reach out to FindMyOm to cancel your booking and process a refund for your payment. It generally takes 5 business days to receive the funds back on to your card. If you need any further help with a cancellation you can reach out to our support team.

Is it more expensive to book via FindMyOm?
All listings on FindMyOm are sourced directly from the facilitators so yes, what you see on FindMyOm marketplace will match what the facilitator offers directly. There is no booking fees on FindMyOm.

Do I need a yoga experience to go on a yoga retreat?
Each retreat will list what pratice levels they cater to so you don’t have to worry. Just check the basic information section of each event listing to see.
Most events (except some teacher trainings) are able to accommodate everyone from total beginners to advanced yogis.

Can I extend my stay or leave early?
In some cases, you have the option to book one (or a few) additional nights at the venue. If this is the case, it will be offered as an add-on on the listing and you’ll be able to book it when you book your retreat or teacher training.
If you decide to leave early, you’ll be responsible for your own transfer back to the airport, if needed.

What is included?
The “What’s Included” section on each listing will tell you the exact details.
Flights aren’t included, but often the facilitator can give you some tips on where to fly to.
All in-person retreats include accommodation. However, for teacher trainings it is often a course-only option and you will have to find your accomodation but again, the facilitator might be able to give you a few options.

What about Covid 19?
Retreat and teacher training venues have implemented new policies to ensure the wellness of the guests and meet the government health guidelines. Some of the more common changes include:

  • Reduced retreat size
  • All common touch points cleaned multiple times per day by staff
  • All rooms, yoga equipment and surfaces sanitized between each guest use
  • Socially distanced retreat precautions

If a facilitator or centre has to cancel the event due to the pandemic, a credit for a future event will be offered (please check the validity period with them).

If you have have been feeling unwell or have been in contact with a positive case within the previous 14 days before attending your retreat or teacher training, we ask that you do a COVID test before attending to ensure the health of all.

FACILITATORS FAQ

How do fees work on FindMyOm?
Adding a retreat, teacher training or course on FindMyOm is 100% free. We only get paid if you get paid, so there is no risk involved.

There are two basic fees if someone pays for a retreat, teacher training or course through our system: booking fee and administration fee.

When we help you get a customer that buys an experience and pays through our system, we keep a 12.5% booking fee on the full experience price.
When you use FindMyOm.com to manage your event we keep a 3% administration fee on the full experience price.
Note that we charge these fees on the total booking amount you receive, including any extras (ie massage, airport transfers) that are booked at any point after the initial booking.

If someone comes through our system but pays you directly, we will simply send you an invoice for the 12.5% booking fee. This is based on a fair and honest system where you would let us know if this has happened.

How does the deposit work?
The minimum deposit is 15% of the event price. You are free to set the deposit to anything from 15% to 100%.
We recommend a 15%-25% range as we’ve found that having a lower barrier to entry with a lower deposit increases bookings.
When the person pays the deposit, we take our commission/booking fee from it and transfer the rest onto your account.

Cancellations & Deposits
If someone cancels and isn’t eligible for a refund on their cancellation, we would keep 12.5% of the non-refundable deposit, which is the total price a guest paid, and the rest goes to you.

If they cancel within an eligible time period, they are returned their deposit, or partial deposit. A commission is kept only on the amount that is left after refunding, if any.

Cancellation policies
There are 4 cancellation policies that apply to all experiences purchased on our site. 3 standardised policies and 1 custom policy.

We encourage all facilitators to choose one of the 3 standardised policies, though we recognise that you can’t fit everything and everyone into neat little boxes.
In case none of the 3 fit, you can customise your own policy.

The 3 standardised policies are as follows: Flexible Booking:
  • 100% refund of the deposit or payment when the cancellation occurs 30 days or more before the event start date;
  • 50% refund of the deposit or payment when the cancellation occurs 15-29 days before the event start date; 
  • No refund for cancellation 0-14 days before the event start date.

Moderate Booking: Non refundable deposit, however, subject to your agreement, a credit will be offered for a future retreat, course or other product booked through FindMyOm. In respect of the balance of any payment (other than the deposit): 
  • 100% refund when you cancel 60 or more days before the event start date;
  • 50% refund when you cancel 30-59 days before the event start date;
  • No refund for cancellation 0-29 days before the event start date.
Strict Booking:  All deposits are non-refundable but you may offer a credit for a future retreat or course.
Transferable Booking: a transferrable booking allows the guest to have a credit for a future date within 1 year of the original arrival date, dependent on your future availability. This request can only be made once per booking no later than 7 days before the original arrival date.
I’ve just created my event listing, when will it be live?
It usually takes 48h for a retreat to be reviewed and go live. We manually review and optimise every single listing on our site for quality, spelling errors, formatting, content flow, etc. We put time and energy into your listings because we know the better you’re able to communicate how amazing your retreat or training is, the better it is for the both of us.
Do I need to advertise the same price on my own social platforms & website?
The short answer is yes:) without this, there would simply be too much incentive for people to bypass us after we help them find a great experience. We do a lot of work behind the scenes to bring you more guests, and our business relies on your honesty in reporting when people find an experience through us and book directly with you. Our aim is to bring a good marketing alternative for you as a retreat or teacher training facilitator. The 12.5% should be accounted for into your marketing budget and might be factored into your event price, as any other costs (ie venue, catering etc.)
Can I talk directly with people who enquire?
Yes! When someone enquires or books your event, you’ll get a notification directly in your inbox.
Can I send automated emails to my guests?
Yes! FindMyOm has a CRM tool which enables you to send automated email to your guests to send invoices or remind them of future payments. You can also send group customised emails to share information about your upcoming event.
What can I see on my dashboard?
Your dashboard allows you to manage your listings & your bookings. Your are able to collect your guests information, communicate with them and see the different payment status.  The dashboard helps you to streamline the organisation of your event.
